Go apple picking
Head to your local apple orchard and get picking, then hop on Pinterest and find some recipes so you can put your bounty to good use. Apple pie? Check. Apple fritters? Yep. Baked apples? Done.

Speaking of recipes, fall is the perfect time to fire up your crockpot and get cooking. There’s something magical about dumping a bunch of ingredients together, turning the machine on, and then coming home to a delicious-smelling dinner that’s ready to be devoured.
Learn how to knit

It’s almost time to bundle up. Instead of spending money on scarves, why not learn how to make your own? It’s a relaxing hobby, perfect for when you’re watching something mindless on Netflix.
Try your luck in a corn maze
Round up your friends and head to a local corn maze. Teamwork makes the dream work as you try to make your escape.
Finally read some of those books on your list
When the weather’s nice, you’re less inclined to want to stay in and read, so you’ve probably accumulated a stack of books (or titles on your Kindle) that you’ve wanted to get through. Now that it’s cooler, curl up under some blankets and put a dent in the list.
Paint pumpkins, no carving allowed
Carving pumpkins is fun, but it’s also messy and results in your kitchen getting covered in pumpkin guts. Painting pumpkins is an elegant, slime-free way to decorate.
Fall is also football season, so make sure to head to a game. If you want to save some money, cheer on your local high school’s team instead.
