When “A Christmas Story” airs this Christmas season, and it will, repeatedly, there may be some things you’ve never been aware of before. Mental Floss put together a list of those details that you can look for.
They never gave a name to Ralphie’s dad, and as an unintentional additional diss to him, Melinda Dillon, the actress who plays Ralphie’s mom, got top billing in closing credits. However, they spelled her name wrong.
The director, Bob Clark, shows up in the movie. You might also spot, Jean Shepherd, the voice of Ralphie’s as an adult (the narrator) in a scene of the movie.
