Dog Lost For 8 Days Found On Island Near Manasota Key

Rex the beautiful German Shepherd dog was lost for 8 days before a kayaker saw him swimming near an island. She tried to coax the dog toward the island with a ham sandwich, but Rex was to confused and scared to follow her. Then she called Manasota Animal control who showed up with a boat and a helicopter and saved the dog. Rex is now home happy with his Daddy!
