VIDEO: Ann Wilson Talks Honoring Chris Cornell on ‘Immortal’ Covers LP
Ann Wilson just dropped her fifth weekly installment revealing all of the songs and artists she’s honoring on her upcoming album Immortal, a collection of cover songs from artists that recently passed away.
In the video below, Wilson breaks down why she chose Audioslave‘s “I Am The Highway” to pay tribute to her friend, Chris Cornell. She also briefly talks about her performance of Soundgarden‘s “Black Hole Sun” with Jerry Cantrell at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony that took place last Saturday (April 14) in Cleveland.
“I Am The Highway” joins The Eagles‘ “Life In The Fast Lane,” Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black,” Lesley Gore‘s “You Don’t Own Me” and Tom Petty‘s “Luna” on tracks that have been confirmed for Immortal, which is available for pre-order on AnnWilsonOfHeart.com.
