What Color Is Your Name?
Asking the question, “what color is your name” may sound confusing. But according to a new study out of the Netherlands, some people actually hear vowel sounds in color.
It’s actually more factual to say that our brains associate vowel sounds with color. And you can use that fact to figure out what color people associate with your name.
Here’s the breakdown:
- The letter A – sounds like red, pink or orange.
- The letter E – sounds like green and orange.
- The letter I – sounds like green and yellow.
- The letter O – sounds like blue and purple.
- The letter U – sounds like blue or red.
So if your name is “Pete”, that is a green and orange name. if your name is “Ivan”, that is a green and yellow, with maybe a little red or orange thrown in.
