Gibsonton Walmart Worker’s Son Arrested For Threatening To Shoot Up Store
According to the sheriff’s office, a Walmart Superstore off I-75 and Gibsonton Drive was evacuated on Sunday after an employee received a phone call from a man saying he would be there in five minutes to shoot up the store.
Spokeswoman Amanda Granit said the store was evacuated out of an abundance of caution. Police responded within minutes and determined there was no credible threat.
The Sheriff’s office tracked down the caller, a 31 year old male and Backer Acted him. Police say they did not find any weapons at his house, but considering the 2 mass shooting that took place over the weekend, you can’t take this for granted.
