Sarasota High School Honors 9/11 Victims With 2,977 Flags
Sarasota remembers 9/11 today with students placing 2,977 American Flags on school property. President Bush was in Sarasota reading books to school children when the first two planes crashed into the twin tower of the World Trade Center.
It’s a beautiful tribute because the American Flag was what everyone wanted immediately following 9/11. The radio station I worked for in Boston, where the hijacked planes flew out of gave away thousands of American Flags following 9/11. If you are thinking our country is so divided today that there’s no hope of being united, think again, because this country come together in an instant when we need to.
