Florida Highway Patrol K-9 Sniffs Out $5.6 Million In Drugs
The Florida Highway Patrol in Orlando is praising the efforts (sniffing and other-wise) of one of their K-9 officers who helped to make a huge drug bust.
FHP Orlando says that their officer “K-9 Piet”, alerted troopers to a whopping 624 pounds of marijuana that was being smuggled in the back of a U-Haul truck in Orlando. They released the following tweet about the bust:
FHP K-9 Piet alerted to 624 pounds of marijuana being smuggled in the back of a U-Haul truck, in Orlando, after a trooper conducted a traffic stop. According to the FHP, the street value of the marijuana is $5.6 million. Officials say both the driver and passenger were arrested on Tuesday night.
