Woman Awarded $35K For Bringing Shelter’s Kill Rate From 100% To ZERO

Her name is Kayla Denney and she really is an unsung hero. The animal shelter in Taft, Texas has no air conditioning and before Kayla, they had no electricity either. Kayla quit her job as an accountant to join the City of Taft Animal Shelter and pursue her passion for saving all the shelter pets. Before Kayla arrived at the shelter, they had a 100% kill rate It took Kayla one year to bring the kill rate from 100% to 0%. Petco has awarded Kayla with $35k which will help take care of many many needs.
