Sarasota Man Pays $10,000 For Service Dog That’s Sick And Not Trained
A Sarasota amputee who has been through far too much already paid $10,000 to Home Sweet Home Service and Therapy Dog Training run by Lori Homer of Holiday. Donald Schultz signed a contract with Homer and immediately things went wrong. Appointments were cancelled and then he was told his dog (Astra) was sick. Schultz then asked for proof of the vet bill and was shown a receipt from Nov 11th which he later learned was fake.
Donald Schultz took the dog but he wants a refund for the training portion of his $10,000.
8 On Your Side’s Better Call Behnken is trying to help him get some money back. Initially Homer said she would pay Schultz back but recently notified him that she had changed her min.
Animal Control has cited Homer for failing to have a health certificate on the dog and Pasco County Code Enforcement cited Homer for trash and debris on her property.
