39th Annual Lakeland Christmas Parade Is Thursday
This Christmas Parade is one of the biggest Christmas Parades in Florida. The parade will take place in downtown Lakeland and it all starts with a fireworks display over Lake Mirror at 7pm. The Junior League of Greater Lakeland and the City of Lakeland host the parade and it’s expected to draw thousands of people into downtown Lakeland.
The theme for this years parade is “The Joy Of Giving” inspired by the generosity of the Lakeland community which has the nickname “The Giving City.” The parade will begin at the RP Funding Center after the fireworks and make it’s way down Lemon Street through downtown Lakeland.
The Fire Chief has requested that no chairs be left out early to claim your spot as that poses a hazard to businesses and emergencies.
