Tampa Bay Claims It’s Third Big Lottery Winner This Week!

For the third time in almost as many days, a Tampa Bay resident has won BIG with the Florida Lottery.

According to ABC Action News, Tampa’s 61 year-old Allen Thomas won the top prize in the Florida Lottery’s $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE scratch-off game. Mr. Thomas has chosen to take his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $810,000.

The ticket he purchased was a mere $2 scratch ticket in the $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE, which launched in July 2019.  Lottery officials state that the game has more than 9.8 million winning tickets which includes eight of the top prizes of $1,000 a week for life.

Mr. Thomas purchased his ticket at the 7-Eleven at 7401 E. Broadway Ave. That 7-Eleven will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

We’ve reported on the other two Tampa Bay resident winners this week in our story titled “Florida Lottery Boast Two Tampa Millionaires In Two Days”.  This is getting a little crazy, but it’s a really good crazy!

All we can say is it sure seems that we are in the right location for buying winning lottery tickets. The lottery gods must love Tampa Bay as much as we do!
