Spring means eating more salads and fresh veggies but how well are you washing them? Personally, I give my fruit or vegetables a quick rinse and pat dry, but after reading this I may spend more time washing my food before I chow down.
The nonprofit Environmental Working Group listed their top "Dirty Dozen" foods that possibly contain dangerous pesticides. They analyzed 46 different foods for increased levels of pesticides and found that more than 90% of berries, leafy greens, and fruits have a residue of two or more pesticides. Wash your veggies!







There are some fruits that don't require as much cleaning including avocadoes, corn, pineapples, onions, and papayas.
