Some collect baseball cards. Others love to read. But USF professor Andrew Karr's hobby is a little strange given where he lives. He plays the French Horn, but that's not the hobby that landed him on national television tonight.

Karr was featured on the final moments on the CBS Evening News for his other passion. He loves to ascend to the highest points in Florida. And you know our state is not well known for super high elevations.

He's what they call a "county high pointer." They climb to the highest point in every county in their state. Karr has almost covered every "high point" in each of Florida's 60 something counties, according to the report.

He's gone to some pretty crazy lengths (but not heights) to achieve the feat here in the Sunshine State. The USF professor told CBS News he's had to venture well into the woods and even on to private property. The homeowner's reaction to his wanting to visit her tree is awesome. You've gotta watch this video. Karr's visit to the JC Penney at The Countryside Mall even made the segment!
