Bucs Playoff Ticket Prices Compared To The Brady Era

Good news Bucs fans!  The team has won their division, the NFC South, for the third consecutive year.  Do you remember what they said about this team at the beginning of the year?  They said the Buccaneers wouldn't win 6 games. A lot of people agreed. Even myself. With Tom Brady leaving and many players from last year not resigning, it seemed impossible for this team to get back into the playoffs, but we did it! So now the time comes to see how much you're willing to drop on a Bucs playoff ticket. We compared prices to the Brady era and were pleasantly surprised.

Here is more good news.  Last year, I went to the first playoff game at Ray Jay.  Tampa Bay was set to play the Cowboys in round one. I bought a ticket to that game in the nose bleeds and paid around $275. I was glad that I went to see the Goat play his final game, even though the Bucs got stomped. My friends and I weren't even watching the game in the second half.  We were at the bar drinking tequila to numb the pain.

So what do Bucs playoff ticket prices look like without Brady?

To my surprise, I went to Ticketmaster just the other day to see how much they were charging to get in this year.  The crappy seats in the 300's are only going for about $90 (as of January 11). Obviously, the pretty good seats on the 50-yard line are going to cost you around $300-$350. But you can also sit in the end zone for about half that price. Time could be a big factor here too. Some people wait till the last minute to see if prices drop, but that is a risky game. Some people are also using the website Gametime, which offers flash deals on seats.

So the big question is "How much do you want to spend?".  I can tell you from personal experience, that it's a long, quiet drive home when you drop $300 to watch your favorite team lose a playoff game. But on the other hand, you could witness one of the greatest upsets in Bucs history.

Bucs Regular Season Ends With Shutout Win Over the Panthers

The Bucs regular season came to an end Sunday with a 9-0 win over the Carolina Panthers. The win gave the Buccaneers the division title again and, most importantly, secured a playoff spot. Monday night (January 15), the Bucs will host the Philadelphia Eagles at Raymond James Stadium. This will be the fourth straight season the Bucs have moved on to the postseason. It's a special accomplishment, especially given how many figured the Bucs would be in a rebuilding year without Tom Brady at quarterback.

Both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles are banged up so the extra day of rest could be helpful for both squads. Baker Mayfield had a noticeable limp in the Bucs win today. He only had 137 yards on the day. Fortunately the Bucs defense came up big. As for the Eagles, Jalen Hurts has been struggling too with his finger injury. Pro Football Talk reports that X-rays showed no fracture. We'll know more Thursday when the Eagles issue their injury report. As for now, Hurts is considered day-to-day.

Congratulations to the Bucs on their third straight NFC South title win. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the season with a 9-8 record. But keep in mind there was that stretch when they lost 5 out of 6 games, making playoff possibilities seem pretty bleak. Check out these photos from field level from the game.
