American Home Shield looked at the online real estate portal Homes.com to find the average price per square foot of more than 22,000 neighborhoods all over the United States to come up with this list. At least Florida doesn’t have the most expensive city in the United States as that belongs to San Francisco. The #1 most expensive neighborhood is South of Market with a price per square foot of $5,415. However, if you continue down the top 15 there are two more Florida cities that being Fisher Island in Miami at #13 and Jupiter Island at #15. So, if my calculations are correct, that’s six Florida neighborhoods in the top 15. So, yes, there are expensive neighborhoods in Florida but none of them land right here in the Tampa Bay area.
