Florida Has One Of The Best Rainy Day Cities In The U.S.
It’s easy to get discouraged when the bad weather hovers over your big plans. Especially if you are traveling. However, InsureMyTrip recently detailed the best rainy-day cities in the world, and a Florida area made the list.
Though you may prefer 75 degrees and sunny, all is not lost if the skies open up and some rain blankets your day in the city. Sure, an umbrella and an old pair of boots may not be your first choice of attire, but there are still some great experiences to be had. Furthermore, a let’s make the most of it attitude can overtake many inconveniences and often lead to unexpected memorable moments.
Nonetheless, InsureMyTrip considered the activities that are available within major metros across the globe. In total, 48 major cities from Buenos Aires, Argentina, all the way to Auckland, New Zealand, were analyzed here. As a result, an extensive list of spots across the globe was compiled. Each of them offers you a chance to keep busy when it’s wet out. Furthermore, InsureMyTrip considered that bad weather might be more common during the current season. “Winter is still a great time to travel, with fewer tourists and lower costs for flights and hotels,” they said.
Miami Ranked 40th In The World
Six cities in the United States were named among the best places to be for a fun rainy day, and it turns out South Florida has decent potential. Of course, when planning to spend a day indoors in Miami, you immediately think of interesting places to visit. InsureMyTrip listed that Miami having 12 museums, 117 attractions, and 25 comedy clubs are part of what makes the city fun to explore.
If you are planning an overnight or extended day trip, the quality of accommodations also scored well here. Restaurants scored 4.3 out of 5, and 132 hotels ranked within their parameters. So, if the rain takes you off South Beach, take advantage of the other attractions. You are still in one of the top areas of the country to spend an enjoyable rainy day.
Florida Has One of the Best Winter Getaways in the U.S.
It’s never too early to start planning an exciting winter getaway, especially since the most popular winter vacation spots get booked up quickly. The good news, though, is that most people take vacations in the summer, so traveling in the winter can be a bit more relaxing. You are also able to usually find better travel rates during the winter season, except during the holidays. If you don’t have to travel during the holidays, just don’t, because it’s a mess. So, what are the best winter getaways in the U.S.? Florida has one of them.
I’ve researched some of the most popular winter vacation destinations in hopes of finding the perfect spot. The following list includes not just sunny, warm getaways, but also some areas that people who love snow can enjoy. Honestly, many people who live in a warm climate like to flock to a snowy location for a bit during the winter to get that seasonal experience, even if that seems counter intuitive. Of course, those who live in the northern parts of America love to go to a warm spot and get away from their daily lives filled with snow and ice.
I’m a Michigan girl, so I’m very familiar with the cold and ice in the winter. Not that I like it. Each year, I say I’m going to escape, even if it’s just for a few days, to a warmer location. But, I never do. Maybe this year will be different. Looking at vacation rates, it’s fairly easy to find some good deals, again, if it’s not during the holiday travel season. Read on for some of the bets winter getaways in the U.S., based on my research. What’s your favorite winter vacation spot? Reach out to me on social media here and let me know. Have a fantastic winter, and stay warm.
