The Sausage Fest Returns To Pinellas Park This Weekend
If there’s one thing Germans love most, it’s their sausage. Gear up because ‘Tampa Bay’s Wurst Festival’ is back for its annual Huge Sausage Fest in Pinellas Park this weekend.
The German American Society of Pinellas County Florida is bringing the Sausage Fest to the people of Tampa Bay this weekend on March 9th. Eventgoers get to catch a glimpse of the German life with dozens of delicious meats, side dishes, dancing, games, and more.
What food and activities will be available at the Sausage Fest?
You just know “Tampa Bay’s Wurst Festival” is going to be packed with sweet and savory foods. Vendors from across the area are bringing Nuernberger bratwursts, smoked braunschweiger on Weck, chorizo, Hot Dogs, Oak Wood Smoked Sausage, Polish Sausages, and more.
You’ll see Skyway Dachshund Rescue, Crooked Johnson, Doxie Boutique, First Quality Sausage Home, Mama G’s Bakery, Schatztruhe, Southern Steer, and Tip Top Canning for vendors. You won’t want to miss out on the pretzels, German potato salad, pies, and of course BEER.
The Sausage Fest is a family-friendly event with tons to do. At 12 PM, watch Dachshunds go head to head in the Dachshund races. At 1 PM there’s a dog talent contest followed by DJ Chris McAlexander and the Enzianer Schuhplattler Vrein dance performance.
Throughout the day you can experience the fun of German Culture throughout the events. In between activities, play Giant Jenga or cornhole all day long.
How much does it cost to attend?
The German American Society says Sausage Fest 2 is “Bigger. Better. Longer.” The admission os $3 per person for members and $5 per person for non-members. Tickets are purchased on site and remember to register your Dachshund for the races.
