It’s that time of year! Ready to carve out some fun this fall and embrace all things pumpkin? Soon pumpkin patches will be popping up all around Tampa Bay. I always enjoy making the day out of picking and carving pumpkins instead of picking one up at a local grocery store. Bonus if I can support a family business or nonprofit as well! If you’re looking for a great weekend or family activity, we ranked some of the most popular pumpkin patches in the Tampa Bay area with the best photo-ops.
Before we get into our favorite pumpkin patches in Tampa Bay, there are a few great photo-op events that we want to highlight. The Armature Works annual Fall Fest is happening on October 22 from 12p-5p. here will be bounce houses, face painting, live entertainment, pumpkin patch, holiday-inspired treats, petting zoo and more! Don’t forget to get a picture with the gorgeous Tampa skyline in the background!
The other big festival we want to tell you about is the St. Pete Pier Fall Festival happening on Saturday, October 12 & Sunday, October 13 from 11a-7p. This free event will have live music, family-friendly entertainment & activities, Food, and the area’s biggest Pumpkin Patch. Don’t forget to bring your camera—between the golden haystacks, rustic truck, and scenic pumpkin displays, there’s a picture-perfect moment waiting at every corner.

Hyde Park Pumpkin Patch
The Hyde Park Pumpkin Patch is always a family favorite. Village Circle will transform into a pumpkin-filled wonderland, offering more than just picturesque family photo opportunities. Hyde Park Village’s pumpkin patch also directly supports The Humane Society of Tampa Bay. ‘Storytime in the Patch with Mother Boo’ will be held every Thursday in October from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. More info here.
Fox Squirrel Corn Maze
If you want to turn your pumpkin picking to a full day event, this is a great option! The 13th annual Fox Squirrel Corn Maze is located at 6151 Varn Rd, Plant City, FL 33565. Tickets are $12 (free parking) and include unlimited maze visits, hayride, jump pad, games, and more. Leave the pets at home but be sure to grab photos in front of their super cute pumpkin wall!
Raprager Family Farms Fall Pumpkin Festival
There’s so much to check out at this family-friendly fall festival. Raprager Family Farm’s is located at 16907 Boy Scout Rd, Odessa. The fall festival begins on Friday, September 20 through November 3. You will need tickets to attend this pumpkin patch (because it’s so much more than just a place to grab pumpkins!). Your ticket includes haunted (and non-haunted) hayrides, axe throwing, access to the butterfly garden, 1,000 sqft haunted maze, petting zoo, bounce houses, live entertainment, and more! Harvest Days at Keel Farms
Happening every Saturday & Sunday in October from 10a-3p, making this the perfect family outing! Admission is free but parking is $10. There’s so much to do! Fall Festival at Southern Hill Farms
This one is totally worth the drive! If you’ve never experienced Southern Hill Farms, the fall season is the perfect time to do so. I love going to pick my own sunflowers (which would make a great photo op). The 9th annual Fall Festival is happening each Thursday-Sunday from Saturday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Nov. 17. Weekday tickets are $21.95, and weekend tickets are $24.95. This event is known to sell out to get your tickets early!
