Former ‘Blues Clues’ Host Steve Has a Message for his Adult Fans
Nickelodeon is commemorating 25 years of its animated series Blue’s Clues and fans of the show got a surprise message from Steve yesterday (Sept 7).
Steve, played by actor Steve Burns, popped up on the Nick Jr. Twitter account to share a sweet message to fans of the show.
Burns opens the video dressed as his character and asks the viewer if they have a minute. He goes on to talk about his abrupt departure from the show in 2002 to go to college.

Burns goes on to explain all he has accomplished and all we have accomplished too.
“Look at all you have done and all you have accomplished in all that time,” he says. “And it’s just… it’s just so amazing, right? I mean, we started out with clues and now it’s what? Student loans, and jobs, and families, and some of that has been kind of hard, you know? I know you know.”
He ends the sweet sentiment by adding after all these years he never forgot us and is glad we’re still friends.
After the video surfaced it was clear fans of the show were feeling some things.

Blues Clues launched on Sept. 8, 1996. To celebrate the milestone anniversary Nickelodeon will air a Blue’s Clues & You! movie that will follow Josh and Blue as they head to New York City to audition for a big Broadway musical.
