Finding a good antique mall that consistently has new inventory isn’t always easy to find. Luckily for us, we have a few great options right here in Tampa Bay. A few weeks ago we told you about the Bay Area Antique Marketplace, and today, we’re talking about Andrea and Friends Antique Mall.
What Does Andrea And Friends Antique Mall Have To Offer?
When you first walk in, you’ll notice aisles are packed wall to wall with different things. Like most antique malls, there are multiple dealers that get new inventory weekly. There are cases full of jewelry, furniture pieces, clothes, art, lighting, old trinquets, and so much more.
The woman behind the counter has a great attitude and is there to help you find what you’re looking for. They are open to negotiations and she will call up the dealers to get the best price or deals for particular items.
If you’re looking to use some materials like old soda bottles for arts or crafts, they’re loaded with options to choose from. Whatever you’re looking for, or aren’t, you’ll be sure to walk out of there with something.
When Are The Hours For Andrea And Friends Antique Mall?
Andrea and Friends Antique Mall is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but keep in mind that there are summer hours that started May 1st. Summer Hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
They are closed on Mondays. Andrea and Friends Antique Mall is located at 2400 Dr. MLK St Jr N. in St. Petersburg, Florida. When you pull up, you’ll want to park in the back. It’s easier to walk in through the back door and there’s no hassle parking out back.

4 Tampa Bay Area Malls That Have Closed Down
East Lake Square Mall
East Lake Square Mall was opened in 1976. It was the first regional mall on Tampa’s eastside. East Lake was home to Dillards, Montgomery Ward, JCPenney and Service Merchandise. In 1988 less people started shopping because Brandon Town Center opened up nearby. In 1999 they turned it into a technology office campus called Netpark.
Lakeland Mall
In 1974, Lake Parker Mall became Lakeland Mall. The mall started to decline when Woolco closed which was one of their popular stores. Although they replaced Woolco with Sam’s Club, it still could not compete with Lakeland Square mall. Lakeland Square was much larger. After sitting vacant for many years, in 1999 Lakeland Mall became a mega church called the First Baptist Church. 
Pinellas Park Mall
Pinellas Park Mall was opened in 1977 at Us 19 and Gandy Boulevard. In 1977 the mall started to suffer due to the closing of Montgomery Ward. The mall closed after Dillard’s closed down in 2004. Pinellas Park Mall is now called the Shoppes at park place. You know, the shopping plaza with the big Target.
Tampa Bay Center
In 1976 the Tampa Bay Center opened up. The Tampa Bay Center was Tampa’s 4th major mall. In 1994 they were accused of racism after they closed early to avoid being packed with fans who were going to the Florida classic. The Florida Classic is a game between FAMU and Bethune Cookman ( Both historically black colleges) The mall was close by the Tampa stadium which always hosted the games. In 2005 the mall was demolished and turned into the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training facility.
