They had one of the biggest hits of the 80s with "Everybody Have Fun Tonight." But what do Jack Hues and Nick Feldman listen to when they get off stage? I was pretty shocked by the diversity of music when I asked. Maybe I shouldn't have been. After all Wang Chung's band name refers to the first note in the Chinese classical music scale.

After having more massive 80s hits like "Dance Hall Days" and "Let's Go," in 1991 Jack and Nick went their separate ways. Fortunately the group is back together now as part of the Lost 80s Live tour. Hearing the varied list of stuff you'll hear on their tour bus as the drive from city to city blew me away.

Sublime

Jack told me their Tour Manager Kelly Kopp is always listening to 90s rock. Sublime is a big favorite.

Miles Davis

Jack taught songwriting at Christchurch University in England before forming a jazz quintet.  So it's not a big surprise Miles is one of his favorites.

Hierophant

Waylon Jennings' son Shooter's backing band!

Dirty Heads

Like a little reggae vibe with your rock?

John Coltrane

After a night of high energy dance music on stage, Wang Chung likes to chill the mood on the bus.

Kendrick Lamar

Now this one I really didn't see coming! Along with that jazz and rock, Wang Chung likes to bump some hip hop on the tour bus too!

Dance Music

The last one on this list isn't too surprising.  Nick and Jack have got to get pumped up before they get on stage to get YOU dancing.  So they like some good dance music to get them dancing.  Well Nick and Jack - if you're reading, we have a show with some pretty awesome DJs that should get you moving.
