Well this isn’t something you see everyday. Some severe storms passed through the area this afternoon and some rare sightings of hail were captured and posted to social media. Spectrum Bay News 9 tweeted that a storm in Citrus had winds of up to 60MPH. Some called the show today and called it snow. Hail is actually just solid ice that is formed when rain gets lifted above the freezing level in the atmosphere.
