Arrest Made After Violent Threat Surfaces At Tampa School
A former employee at a Tampa school has been arrested after police say she made violent threats targeting the school.
According to ABC Action News, Academy of the Holy Names received a threat that led to an officer presence at the school today, in addition to the school operating on a modified lockdown.
The person who made the threat allegedly said she was going to shoot up the school.
The threat was made one day earlier, on Monday, while the former employee was terminated.
The threat was made in person at that time.
Shortly before 11 p.m. this evening, police arrested Ainya Smalls, 23 in connection with the threat.
She was a member of the cleaning crew before she was fired.
