In Pinellas County You Can Get A Ticket For Backing Into A Parking Spot
It’s against the law in several Florida counties to park backwards and more than 20 people were ticketed this past weekend.
The people ticketed this past weekend while in Dunedin had no idea that it was against the law to park the other way. Adding to the confusion evern further was the fact that there were no signs posted regarding the policy.
A $30 ticket for backing into a spot?! The county is looking to void 22 tickets now and working with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office to get them cleared.
According to 10 News, Sarasota and Bradenton also prohibit back-in parking, but Sarasota County does not, nor does Hillsborough, Hernando, Polk, and Manatee counties.
