‘Pawn Stars’ Patriarch Cuts Son Out Of Will
“Pawn Stars” patriarch Richard Harrison drove one final hard bargain when he reportedly cut one of his three sons out of his will.
Harrison, who died June 25 at age 77 after a battle with Parkinson’s disease, amended his will last year to say his son Christopher was to receive nothing from his estate, according to documents obtained by TheBlast.com.
The late reality star, known to his fans as “Old Man,” kept his wife JoAnne and their other two sons – Joseph and Rick – as the remaining beneficiaries.
“I would like to express my love and affection for Christopher Keith Harrison,” the will obtained by the The Blast reads, “however, for purposes of this Will, I have intentionally and with full knowledge failed to provide for him and his issue.”
It was not immediately clear why Christopher got shut out or how much the estate might be worth.
The paperwork named son Rick Harrison, who starred alongside his dad in “Pawn Stars,” as administrator.
Rick released a statement after his dad’s death saying the entire team at the family’s Las Vegas business, Gold & Silver Pawn, was grieving.
He said his dad would be remembered as the “sometimes grumpy” but “always loving” boss who was the “voice of absolute reason” on their History Channel show.
Harrison’s trademark hat was later added to a shrine at the 24-hour pawn shop on the Vegas strip.
