Dale Earnhardt Jr. Speaks About His Relationship With Dad (VIDEO)
Recently, Dale Earnhardt Jr. gave an interesting and rather personal interview. Even if you are not a fan of NASCAR, you may find this interview very interesting.
As you may already know, a relationship between a father and his son can be tricky. My relationship with my Dad was always contentious as a kid. It wasn’t until many years later that I realized that Dad wasn’t trying to be my “friend”… he was being a good parent. He was building a man. Although his tactics may have been harsh at the time, everything he did and said made me the man that I am today… and I am very grateful to him for his guidance.
But back to this interview… Dale Earnhardt Jr. says the only reason he wanted to race was to get closer to his father. He says that he feels he has disappointed Dale Sr.
