Have You Committed A Common Crime?
I’m sure the majority of us feel we are law abiding citizens for the most part. But how many of the crimes below have you actually committed?
According to a poll out by Buzzfeed they asked over 150,000 people about small crimes they say everyone commits. The stats are interesting. The largest offense was jaywalking, at 90% of those polled saying they had jaywalked. This was followed by underage drinking with 72% saying they had drank alcohol underage. Neither of these are a huge surprise to me.
Take a look and see how you compare to their online poll. The top 9 criminal acts and the percentages are listed below:
- Jaywalking – 90% say they have
- Rolling through a stop sign – 51% said yes
- Speeding – 67% say they have
- Using Wi-Fi without permission – 35% have done this
- Pirated music or movies -78% said yes
- Double Featured -(paid for only one movie but stayed for 2) -22% said yes
- Drank Alcohol Underage- 72% said yes
- Paid under the table- (not reporting or paying taxes) – 41% have done this
- Ask for a cup for water but got soda instead – 33% have done this
I’d guess most of us have done at least half of the things on this list. So, maybe we all do have a slight criminal side to us.
