Top Ten Cities With The Best Nightlife
When most of us think about a party city, our minds go straight to the bright lights of Las Vegas. You know, the line of “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”! Right? After that either LA or New York would come to mind. But according to Apartment Guide.com the city with the best nightlife is St Louis.
The study ranked the 50 US Cities with the best nightlife, based on how many options there are per capita. So a lot of the big cities you may expect to see didn’t do that well. In fact NONE of America’s ten biggest cities even made the list.
The researchers looked at how many bars, clubs, breweries and live music venues there are compared to the population. So its all about cities where you can go out without fighting through massive crowds. That’s why St Louis took the top spot.

- St Louis- It has one nightlife related business for every 1,143 people. That’s more than twice as many as the #50 spot on the list, (Knoxville) which has one for every 2,839 residents.
- Cincinnati
- Dayton, Ohio
- Green Bay
- Cleveland (that’s three Ohio cities in the top five!)
- Pittsburg
- New Orleans
- Portland, Oregon
- Fort Lauderdale
- Orlando
As you can see, Tampa did not make the top ten, but if you’re wondering we came in at #36.
