How Much Money Do You Need To Be Rich?
Have you ever asked yourself how much money you need to be or feel rich? Obviously in today’s economy we need to make much more income just to make ends meet. But, how much before you are rich, or rather how much money do you need before others think you are rich?
A new study out by YouGov asked people what salary someone would have to earn to be rich. The answer may be surprising. For the majority of people the answer is between $90,000 to $100,000 annually.
This is obviously a lot about perception, and also the area that you live in and cost of living will effect that as well.
But here are a few other results from the survey:
- The majority of people think that being “poor” means you make less than $30,000 a year.
- Yet, 2% of people think you are rich if you’re making $10,000 per year.
- And 2% of people think you’re poor even at $100,000 per year.
