St. Pete Man Becomes Instant Millionaire After Mega Millions Win

55-year-old Michael Rees’ has claimed the $1 million Mega Millions prize from the June 22nd drawing, according to the Florida Lottery. The ticket was purchased at Sunrise Quick Stop, which is located at 5100 34th Street South right in St. Pete.
Rees went for the Quick Pick ticket, and this scored him the million bucks. Unfortunately, he didn’t match the Mega Ball. But he isn’t the only one getting a payout. The Sunrise Quick Stop will also get a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The next drawing will be Friday, July 16 at 11 p.m. with an estimated jackpot of $117 million dollars, according to ABC Action News.
