Coca-Cola Will Now Have A Hard Seltzer Beverage Called ‘Topo Chico’
Coca-Cola is the latest company to jump on the hard seltzer bandwagon. Per Fox Business, the brand’s new alcoholic beverage will be called Topo Chico Hard Seltzer. They add, “It will be made from Topo Chico Mineral Water – a sparkling water company that has sourced and bottled water in Monterrey, Mexico since 1895 and was bought by Coca-Cola in 2017 for $220 million.”
Topo Chico will be offered in various Latin American cities later this year. Unfortunately, the U.S. will have to wait until 2021 to get the beverage.
This isn’t Coca-Cola’s first venture into alcoholic beverage territory. In Japan, Coca-Cola has an alcoholic drink called Lemon-Do that has been very successful since launching in 2018.
