Florida Lottery Player From Alabama Scratches $1 Million Winner
Another out-of-state Florida Lottery player takes a cool $1 million home.
53-year-old Thomas Fotopoulos is a regular player of the Florida Lottery. He lives in Dothan, Alabama, and it’s about a half-an-hour drive to the Florida town of Campbellton. Fotopoulos purchased a $50 500X The Cash ticket and won $1 million.
Fotopoulos said he’d been playing the Florida Lottery since 1988. He told the Florida Lottery, “I’ve been playing the Florida Lottery since it began. I just had a feeling about the 500X THE CASH game. I still can’t believe it!” Fotopoulos claimed his prize at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He took his prize
as a lump-sum of $820,000.

The ticket was purchased at Fortune Liquors, 5878 Highway 231 in Campbellton. The store will receive a $2000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The $50 500X The Cash game still has 1 top prize of $25 million remaining. There are also 83 of 160 $1 million prizes still to be claimed.
