Beagle Adopted By Treasure Island Fire Rescue
A beagle is the newest member of the Treasure Island Fire Rescue. He’s a rescue that was adopted by the agency.
A Virginia based research facility was forced to give up 4,000 dogs. Various animal rescue organizations across the country have put the dogs up for adoption. Fifteen came to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Treasure Island Fire Rescue adopted an 8-month-old beagle. They named him ‘Captain’. He’ll join the TIFR at Station 24 as a station dog.
According to a tweet from Treasure Island, “He is 8 months old, loves belly rubs and has giant adorable floppy ears.” As the newest member of Station 24, Captain will be a therapy dog.
According to Fox 13, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also adopted one of the beagles. Theirs came through The Beagle Freedom Project. They adopted a 7-year-old beagle named Mama Mia.
