Want to get away from Tampa to Bahamas? It’s about to get a lot easier with regular direct flights on Silver Airways.
Currently, you can book a flight on Silver Airways from Tampa to Bahamas, but they only fly on a limited number of days each week. The routes are super popular, so Silver Airways is expanding the route by planning to fly Tampa to Bahamas daily. The news came out today from Tampa International Airport.

We love to travel to the Bahamas with our family. The white, sandy beaches are gorgeous, the water if crystal blue, and the weather feels pleasant all year. If you love spending time on the water, visiting the Bahamas is relatively easy for Floridians. It’s the same time zone and not too far away. The trick is that those direct flights on Silver Airways are only available certain days of the week. Most likely, you end up having to fly American and make a stop to change planes in Miami. This can become an issue if your flight gets cancelled. We’ve experienced it multiple times. Our flight got delayed leaving Nassau. We subsequently missed our connecting flight from Miami to Tampa. One time we had to rent a car and drive back from Miami. There are some fantastic resorts there. Two top resorts worth mentioning are Baha Mar and Atlantis. There are three hotels to choose from at Baha Mar: Grandy Hyatt, Rosewood, and the SLS.
And it’s not just Nassau that will be a regular stop for Silver Airways. They will also have routes between Tampa and Tallahassee two times a day, as well as Tampa and Key West three times a day.
