First, you need to know when the tax holiday takes place. The Tool-Time Sales Tax Holiday begins Saturday, September 3. It ends on Saturday, September 9.
This is a new Tax Holiday. It joins the back-to-school and hurricane preparedness tax holidays. It's intent is to help in the purchase of tools commonly used by skilled trade workers. However, anyone can purchase qualifying items tax free during the tax holiday.
Qualifying items can be purchased in brick and mortar stores, online, through mail order and via catalog during the tax holiday. Online orders must be made during the tax holiday for immediate shipment, even if the delivery is made after the tax holiday period.
