Columbine Students Want Images of Dead Bodies Publicized If They Become Victims of Gun Violence
A group of Columbine High School students want images of their dead bodies publicized if they become victims of gun violence.
CBS News reports the Littleton, Colorado student-led initiative calls for citizens to place a sticker on their cell phone or ID that reads “In the event that I die from gun violence, please publicize the photo of my death.”
According to an official campaign video on the group’s Twitter feed, other tragic images “changed the world for the better because we couldn’t look away, yet when a shooting happens we’re sheltered by the horrors behind the headline. No more.”
Columbine High School was the site of a deadly mass shooting nearly 20 years ago. 13 people died that day.
