Clearwater Florida Resident To Appear On NBC’s “The Voice”
My wife and I really love to watch “The Voice“. It’s definitely one of our favorite shows. We love to see the progression of the artist as they go along through the competition. It’s also really entertaining to watch when the barbs that are thrown between the coaches. I think Blake Shelton is hilarious, and the kind of guy you’d love to sit and have a beer with.
But this year we have another reason to watch. According to CrowstNestStPete.com, one of our own Tampa Bay resident is set to appear on the show. His name is Cameron Decker. He is a 30-year-old singer that lives in Clearwater and is originally from Seminole, Florida.
The local musician who says he often performs in places like the Feather Sound Country Club and The Vinoy, is auditioning in front of the four celebrity judges this year. Decker says he often performs songs like “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone and “Smoke A Little Smoke” by Eric Church, but also enjoys performing jazz, and occasionally does a country song.
And while Decker is just happy to have the opportunity to have “anyone” turn for him, he secretly hopes for Blake Shelton or Kelly Clarkson. Cameron has stated that he isn’t sure what song he will be doing for his audition yet, but he’s leaning toward, “Home” by Michael Bublé. (Cameron says on his Facebook page that Bublé is his idol).
We are really happy to know one of our own homegrown artist will be featured on such a big stage. We look forward to watching this local talent rise to the top. We will be watching and more importantly “voting” for Cameron! We truly wish him lot’s of luck!
