Florida Woman Claims $396.9 Million Powerball Jackpot
Wow! $396.9 million dollars! Now THAT’S a lot of money!
It’s become a routine for us to write about the many million dollar plus winners the Florida Lottery announces every week. Many of them from the Tampa Bay area.
If you recall, we wrote a story here, about an unclaimed Powerball jackpot from the drawing that was held on January 29, 2020. No one had claimed it, but we shared that the winning ticket had been purchased at the 7-Eleven store, located at 4520 Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs.
Now the Florida Lottery announced this week that the winner of that huge jackpot is 61 year-old Sheryll Goedert of Ocala Florida. Ms. Goedert is managing member of Vacation Life LLC, and has now come forward to claim her winnings.
Ms. Goedert selected to receive the winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment in the amount of $276,558,034.09. That is indeed a massive amount of money to win. And as always, the 7-Eleven retailer that sold that winning Powerball ticket, also receives a nice bonus commission, this time a hefty sum of $100,000.
Ms. Goedert is the state of Florida’s 13th Powerball Jackpot winner since the Powerball launched here in Florida in 2009. This is truly the big pot to win. One that will not only make you a millionaire but a multi millionaire many times over.
Don’t you just love the lottery? I know I do! It offers everyone a chance at the things most of us can just dream about. Things like financial freedom, a means to help family and others that you love, a way to give to charities you’re passionate about and just the ability to spread good will to those in need. And perhaps after all is said and done,.. maybe just a little indulging of your own private desires?
And on that note, take a look at some of the high-end items below that might be on YOUR wish-list….
Have fun but remember to play responsibly!
