Tampa TV News Anchor’s Last Broadcast Will Be Friday
The Tampa Bay Times reports that after a decade behind the news desk at Spectrum Bay News 9, anchor Veronica Cintron is taking a new job off the air. She’ll be leaving the cable TV news outlet to take a position with Tampa International Airport to head up media relations. She’ll start the new job next week. Cintron left Puerto Rico at age 17 to study journalism at USF. In her time at Bay News 9, she won Associated Press and other journalism awards. Cintrol tweeted that her last broadcasts will be this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. [Source: Tampa Bay Times]
