Tampa and St. Pete Make Top 100 Fittest Cities List
The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that Tampa and St. Petersburg both made a national list of the healthiest cities in the country. The report from The American Fitness Index measured things like exercise, nutrition, disease, obesity, and even things like how many commute to work on a bike or shop at a farmer’s market.
So who ranked higher? Sorry Tampa. St. Pete is more fit – they came in at #30. Tampa followed at #45. Orlando just beat out Tampa coming in at #43. But Tampa beat Miami! I’m kind of surprised by that… Miami was at #47. Jacksonville was way back in the pack at #82. [Source: TBBJ]
