Karate Kid Star Filming Movie In Pinellas County And Looking For Extras

I remember one of the “bully villains” I saw in a film when I was a kid…Sensei John Kreese.
Martin Kove, who plays John Kreese, starred in three Karate Kid movies, tormenting karate students, including Daniel (Ralph Macchio). He’s also in Cobra Kai, the Netflix series.
Now Cove is in Pinellas County. He’s filming A Taste of Love. It’s a film and a tourism commercial . It was funded with a county incentive of $500,000. It’s a rom-com about a TV chef who’s reunited with an old sweetheart.
The film is currently being shot and will be in production here until the end of July.
