Million Dollar Powerball Ticket Sold At Florida Grocery Store

This one is from back in January 13, 2016. The downer for the winners is that there were 3 Powerball winners. So each got only about $300+ million. Only $300 million. Poor people.

No one won the big Powerball jackpot, but there was a MILLION DOLLAR ticket sold at Florida grocery store.

On the MJ Morning Show, MJ always says he knows he will NEVER win Powerball, but he’s still compelled to play. Hey, because you never know!

There wasn’t a big winner from Monday night’s drawing. The winning numbers: 19, 24, 40, 42, 56 and Powerball 23 with a 2X Powerplay.

But guess what. There was a million-dollar winner in the state of Florida. Have you heard of Sedano’s Supermarket? It’s in Orlando located at 12981 South Orange Blossom Trail. With a match of five of the six numbers, one lucky Powerball player was able to win a ticket (a quick pick ticket) worth a million dollars. Wow!

We have this perpetual debate on the show. If a store sells a winning lotto ticket, does that mean it will be more likely or less likely to produce a winner in the future? Fester gets upset because his grocery store in Lutz has sold a winning ticket before. He has major lotto jealousy. Either way, this is a logic problem that we need some statisticians to solve.

Florida wasn’t the only state that produced winning million-dollar tickets. Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina and Virginia also had winning tickets sold.

Get ready for tonight’s big drawing. Have you purchased your Powerball Tickets yet? If you were to be the sole winner of the jackpot, we’re talking an estimated $1.09 billion. Of course, it would be less if you were to do the cash option. That’s about $527.3 million.

Who couldn’t use an extra million dollars these days? It’s a running joke that Florida has some of the best odds when it comes to playing the lottery. It goes even further when you realize how many Publix stores sell top-winning lottery prizes. Obviously, it couldn’t be any more than a coincidence but we decided to deep-dive into some of the top winning prizes sold in Publix stores. A few are even in the Tampa Bay area!

A lot of games in this list still have top prizes available! So if you’re feeling lucky head to your nearest Publix to grab a ticket. It’s important to know all the scratch-off games that have top prizes available. That way you won’t waste your money or time. You can always check on the Florida Lottery website.

With any lottery win, the store that sells the winning ticket receives a bonus. We can only imagine how much Publix has been rewarded over the years. Other common stores that we noticed sell a lot of winning tickets are 7-Eleven, Circle K, and Winn Dixie. Maybe spread your luck and buy a ticket from each store.

It’s been said by experts that if you win the lottery keep your mouth shut. This depends on how much money you end up winning.
