Check Out These New Spots That Have Recently Opened In Tampa
Living in Tampa has a lot of perks, but one of my favorites is that there is always something new to try. Especially when it comes to places to eat. It seems like a new place is opening every week. So I made a list of new spots that have recently opened in Tampa that you need to try.
Alter Ego – 420 S Nebraska Ave
Alter Ego is a new cocktail lounge located on the 1st floor of Water Street’s Asher building. The best part to me is the way they have the vibe curated by some of Tampa’s best local DJs. I was pleasantly surprised to walk in on a Saturday and enjoy a rare intimate set from DJ Craze I had no idea was going down. The vibe may have made me bias to how great I thought the food was. That or the drinks.
Ash – 420 S Nebraska Ave
Another installment to Water Street’s already rapidly growing attractions. If you like Italian-inspired cuisine, you love Ash. If you want something else to fall in love with, make sure you check out the view of their patio. It will definitely hypnotize you into staying around for a couple of more rounds of drinks or more food.
Westshore Pizza – 500 S. Howard Ave.
We always have to show love to one of the Tampa staples. I never minded driving down Westshore just to indulge in some pizza, wings and Philly cheese steaks, but now I got one closer to me! Now we have a perfect spot to catch a quick bite while enjoying the festivities down South Howard avenue.
Ten Rooms Ybor – 1536 E 7th Ave
If you were wondering what they were going to put in the old “El Centro Español de Tampa,” you got your answer right here. According to Creative Loafing, Ten Rooms will consist of a 50-seat restaurant called Bar Martinez, craft cocktail hotspot Genevieve the Cat, rotating vendor and art space The Shop at Ten Rooms and The Cafe, a daytime coffee shop and French-inspired bakery. They are also advertising 20 cocktails on tap and being open 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm.
Shiso Crispy – St. Pete
The long awaited store front for one of Tampa’s most popular food trucks is finally open! Next time you’re in Downtown St. Pete you need to check out Shiso Crispy. The menu is filled with delicious Asian-fusion dishes like Short Ric Bao buns, Chicken or Shrimp Bang-Bang rice, and various flavors of dumplings. Bonus is they are open late!
