Tower Of Terror at Disney Turns 25
It’s my second favorite Disney ride and it blows me away it’s already 25 years old. Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened July 22, 1994. Reports say it cost about $140 million to build. It’s been copied by several rides around the world, but Orlando’s was the first. Ever wonder how it works? Im not a science guy by any stretch, but I found this video kind of fascinating. The illusions are pretty elaborate and I had no idea how many safety backups were in place. Sure sometimes the ride is down, but now you will see why. The safeguards in place are all throughout the ride.

By the way, I did say it’s my second favorite ride at Disney. Its next door neighbor owns that distinction.
