First Tampa Area Fatburger Location Announced
Last month, we shared the news that California fast food chain Fatburger has big plans to enter the Tampa area. We now know the first location they’ve picked. In 2024, the plan is to open the first Tampa bay Fatburger in Riverview in the Tampa Shoppes at Alafia at 9950 Upper Alafia Court, according to the Tampa Bay Times. That’s right off I-75.
4 locations are planned for now for the Tampa area. About 10 will go up in Orlando. Some bad news if you’re in Pinellas. They say there are no plans to open in Clearwater, Sarasota or St. Pete. This isn’t Fatburger’s first go at it in Tampa Bay. They had locations a while back at International Plaza in Tampa and the Clearwater Mall.
Burgers at Fatburger are made to order and can be personalized with things like bacon, eggs, chili and onion rings on a toasted “sponge-dough bun.” They have an Impossible burger or you can get the “Skinnyburger” that is bun-less. Milkshake flavors include the Maui-banana, Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla and Oreo Cookies and Cream. Sides include onion rings and a few different french fry styles, including sweet potato fries.
