Fester made his way back to the studio today after being at Tampa General Hospital last week. We are so proud of him.
He has been dealing with his myasthenia gravis. It is pronounced “my-us-THEE-nee-uh GRAY-vis.” He had a bout of it years ago on the first iteration of the MJ Morning Show. He was in the hospital for a longer period of time then. MG causes his face to droop, causes him weakness, and the rapid fatigue comes on very quickly. A lot is still unknown as to what causes it, but it is believed to be caused by a breakdown in nerve and muscle communication.
It was a beautiful moment when Fester came through the doors at Beasley and then made his way up through the elevator, which is now working for him.
The show is not the same without him. We miss his quick wit, imitations of Shaq, and dry humor, though today it was more sloshy than dry.
