The Cure Is Coming to Tampa in 2023
Wow this is one of those bands on my concert bucket list I never thought I’d get to check off. I wasn’t a huge fan during their era, but as I’ve gotten older, it’s one of those groups I wish I would’ve seen at least once. If you’re in the same boat, The Cure is coming to Tampa this summer.
“Lovesong” is a Q105 favorite, but the band had so many other great songs like “Just Like Heaven,” “Pictures of You,” and “Friday I’m In Love.”
The show will be at Amalie Arena, which is good. It’ll be inside with air conditioning. Let’s face it. Robert Smith’s makeup wouldn’t do well in Tampa summer heat. Nor do most of us. The show happens June 29, smack dab in the middle of Florida’s oppressive heat and humidity. So Amalie Arena is a perfect choice. Tickets go on sale next Friday (March 17) at 10am.
