USA Today has travel lists, voted on by their readers, called “10Best”. Among their latest is the ‘Best Beach in the South.’ Two Tampa Bay area beaches are choices on the list. One is Clearwater Beach.

The experts from USA Today came up with the selection from which to vote. As voters visit USA Today, they’ll see that half of the beaches to choose from are in Florida. After all, there’s over 800 miles of beaches around the state.

Clearwater Beach represents the immediate Tampa Bay area. The next nearest beach on the list is Venice Beach, just south of the immediate bay area.

USA Today’s experts point out the white sand beach and the things to do right around the beach. Also, the Gulf of Mexico’s warm waters are perfect for activities on the water and sand. They also referred to the daily celebration that is Sunsets at Pier 60.

Voting is open now. You can vote once each day. The voting continues until May 22. The top beach, based on the voting, will be revealed on Friday, June 2.
