Brandon Chick-fil-A Will Deliver Your Chicken With a Drone
Don’t have time to sit in that drive thru line to get your chicken sandwich or waffle fries? There’s an app for that.
Fox 13 reports that the Chick-fil-A on East Brandon Boulevard in Brandon is one of the first locations anywhere to offer drone deliveries. Think this will (sorry) take off?
How It Works
It’s pretty simple actually. You just place your order in their mobile app. Then instead of choosing pick up in store or drive thru like you normally would, you can opt for the drone delivery. It’s free for now, but eventually they say there will be a fee for drone delivery. If you’ve ever owned a drone, you know they aren’t cheap… and they crash.
Not everyone in Tampa Bay can use the service…
That drone isn’t going to fly over the Howard Frankland to satisfy your nuggets craving. You must be within a 1.2 mile radius of the store, according to the story. Plus if the weather isn’t cooperating, the drone is not going to dodge raindrops. And that’s too bad because sure enough, this week we saw our first widespread significant rain in a while here in the Tampa area. [Source: Fox 13]
